Abstract:
Introduction: Globalization is one of the events that has affected contemporary life, one of the human aspects that is affected by the event of globalization is culture and, accordingly, the family. Therefore, it is very important to know the changes of the family in the age of globalization. In this article, the researcher seeks to investigate the changes made in the educational role of the family in the age of globalization. Since globalization affects the family in different dimensions (economic, political, cultural). Therefore, the goal of the researcher in this article is to investigate the changes made in the family in the cultural dimension.
Research method: To answer the research questions and according to the nature of the subject, the descriptive-analytical method has been used. At first, the nature of globalization and the media, family education and its existential needs have been discussed by referring to the conducted research, books, databases and new articles. Then the theoretical foundations of globalization, its advantages and various approaches have been examined and analyzed. Finally, by using inferential method, the appropriate approach for training the moral behavior of young people in the family has been identified
Findings: The changes caused by the progress in the field of technology have affected the culture and educational values of the family, on the other hand, globalization should be used as an important source of information by parents and they should be aware of the opportunities caused by globalization be more than its threats
Conclusion: By analyzing the obtained data, it was concluded that globalization has caused the weakening of the educational role of the family, the breaking of boundaries, and the expansion of the influence of media education.
